Himiko is a hand-nipped stone mosaic inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Shibori, a manual resist dyeing technique that creates patterns that spread unevenly across the textile.
Shown here on a background of tumbled Orchid Glazed Basalto™, this Himiko pattern is created with Thassos marble, Blue Macauba quartzite, Celeste marble, and Cornflower and Indigo Glazed Basalto.
